growing on soil under the floor after area cleared of rubble and rotten wood before laying polythene moisture barrier. Very strong earthy smell. Spores not dispersed in 4's (Harmajas criterion). Spores inamyloid, tissue weakly dextrinoid,clamped, basidia with granules but not especially carminophilous (altho spores darken), not metachromatic, patchily cyanophilous, 4-spored, 8/5granular contents in KOH (but no yellow - callistosporium), without cheilo/pleurocystidia, with a well developed trichoderm. To ICMP. See C. americana - which grows on wood. See Lyophyllum hebelomoides. ML places it in Calocybe
